Charles and Linda- II

Charles waited for Linda to arrive in the US for a long time, as she completed her education abroad. She finished and arrived here just this past May. He was determined to be with her. So on August 22, they were joined together as one at the Ghana Mission United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.

Here are a few of my favorites...

Charles and Linda

This past Saturday I witnessed the colorful wedding ceremony of Charles and Linda. I do not have the words to describe the beautiful union between these two friends who have now became one. It was an afternoon filled with African traditions (both are from Ghana), family, love, singing, dancing, friends and plenty of laughter and prayer. Thank you both for the opportunity!

Enjoy Life & :)!

Introducing Carrie B!

A song writer that "was put on earth to spread love through music" is how she describes herself. A voice of pure love is what I thought when I heard her sing. Her is she... Miss Carrie B.

Before moving to Charlotte, she says she was raised in a house where music was not played. She had to create her own world of music. She began with a CD by recording artist Mariah Carey, who she refers to as her "first teacher" and she has been going since then!

Carrie B is working on her first album entitled, "Mission: Fantastic". She works with producer/manager Elvis Danne and musician Smitty of Charlotte, NC. Mixing Reggae and R&B sounds together this trio is working to take the QC by storm.

Future Mr. and Mrs. McClendon

Memorial Day Monday I had the pleasure to capture the special moments between the future McClendon's whose wedding is scheduled for early 2010. It had been clear all day long up until the evening when we were scheduled to begin the session. I suspected a "rain check" would be in order as I drove through a thunderstorm to meet them at our location. However at the last minute the weather changed! Happily, they were able to spend the next hour together in what turned into a beautiful "rain forest"; allowing me to capture some of the images below! More to follow... Enjoy Life & :)!

Salon Bella

From the hard wood floors to the colorful wall art and matching room decor, Salon Bella and Spa is designed to give women a feeling of comfort from the moment we walk through the door. I had the opportunity to photograph the Charlotte, NC salon owner for an article layout in the May/June issue of Real People magazine. Here are some some the images that were captured.

Class of 2009!

This year a lot of graduations are taking place. Congratulations to our 2009 seniors!!

I had the opportunity to capture a few moments of a young man preparing to embark on his college journey this fall. As we walked, took pictures,
talked, took more pictures,

laughed, and took even more pictures,

I could see him reflecting on the steps that were climbed to get him to this day. We had a great session- my seniors are always full of life and expression!!

I told him I was going to create an Event Catchers® Show on DVD for his mom. He claimed he was a little concerned about her music selection :) So I told him to let her enjoy her selection and in return I would create something different for him :)

After all, this is His Year... Congratulations DJ!!

I'm Aleshia Lamelle and I'm The Event Catcher!

When I tell people about Event Catchers®, I usually get an "Ah Ha" moment from them. As simple as it sounds, I am an Event Catcher! I capture your event by catching the candid moments of emotion that occur during births, birthdays, communions, christenings, engagements, weddings, maternity shoots, anniversaries, family reunions, business promotions and really so much more...
What's your event!

I am a personal photographer capturing your most precious moments in a photojournalist way that is thoughtful and full of details. If you know my work-- you KNOW I get the details!! If you know me, you know my personal dedication and passion toward photography. I want your moments captured-- After all, they only happen once in a lifetime, no matter the occasion. As commom as birthdays are, do you know anyone who has celebrated a birthday twice? They are all different aren't they? Why not document them...

I capture these moments -- with you in them! How many times are you at an event taking pictures, later to realize you are only in few if any of the images at all? Well I solve that...

Mothers, how many times have you been at your child's event (birthday, christening, sharing ice cream, a day at the park- anything!) and there is always someone missing from the picture, usually because you have to get them to take the picture? Well I solve that! Timeless moments of you and your children can unfold beautifully in a textured hardcover coffee table Photobook to share with your friends and family.

Gentlemen, are you getting ready to ask your girlfriend to marry you? Our version of how things happened that day always seems to be a tiny bit different from yours? Well I solve that!! Have true details documented from ring buying to popping the question- all of this can placed on an Event Catcher Show dvd with music to share on television.

Everyone, aren't you tired of stopping the party to gather friends and family together to say the dreaded "CHEESE"? Well I SHRED the cheese!!! No more of the "Posey Poses"-- Lets capture real life moments that show the candid details of your event as they unfold from begining to end!

So what's your event... prom, graduation, shower, ladies night out.... guys night out? All of the above? It doesn't matter! At Event Catchers® it's simple...

You Enjoy the Moment... We Capture the Event!!™

As snow and ice has covered much of the east coast, Mother Nature has reminded us once again that she is in charge :) What memories of nature do you have?
This is a shoot from last fall. It's a lovely video of a mother and son taking advantage of nature and all the joys it can bring. Hope it warms you up!

Sweet Deal for Valentine's Day- "OOH BABY!"

Session Fees for INFANTS (0-12mo) & COUPLES are Half Off!
~Happy Valentine's Day!~ Contact us to schedule your appointment!

I have made some (more) changes to my site. I have basically gotten rid of the majority of my galleries and use a slideshow feature as my showcase now. I wanted to make your viewing experience better. I always visit other sites and hate it when I have to physically thumb thru the images to get a good look. When I hit a site and the images start coming at me right away, I am more inclined to sit back and review.

Funny thing is, eventcatcaters.com was set up like the sites I hated to visit-- go figure!! So I privatized a few galleries and added some of my best images to the public MENU pages- the images change right there by themselves. No more clicking this and that to get to public galleries- double clicking an image to make it bigger- Finding Play- Setting speed and on and on... (Getting tired just writing about the process!)

Take a look! Just work with the Menu options like Services, Contact, Event Pricing etc. Or you can just stay on the Home Page; I've added a variety of images to view right there- from Weddings to Maternity! Each image is viewable for a few seconds before it changes. You have a chance to review the information on each page as the images are shown to you.

I still have some of the galleries, like the B2B and CAUGHT --but I've trimmed the extras. I think it's a win / win for me and you: I have displayed the specific images from the particular galleries I want everyone to see in the slideshow-- And they come right to you-- without MY direction or YOUR search work! It's just an easier viewing experience all around. Check it out!

Reflections of 2008

As 2008 came to an end, I wanted to reflect on some of my most memorable experiences of the year. I have been blessed to have come in contact with some of the most positive, knowledgeable and giving individuals one could hope for.

I have learned a lot in 2008 and I plan to move into 2009 full speed ahead! I'm thankful to my clients for allowing me to capture some of their most precious life moments. Thanks to my "teachers" who shared their experiences along the way and my "2nd Shooters" who, when called, were there late nights and early days!

For 2008, images were captured from Baltimore to Atlanta with Charlotte in between. There were brave US Service men to curious two year olds peeking at water streams. We captured business owners creating beats for the streets and designs for your homes interior; Others were captured creating styles for your crown exteriors! There were milestone moments, from graduations and wedding unions, to the final days of engagements and babies in wombs blooming. Mothers with daughters and sons; Soon to be fathers caressing bellies and having fun. If you called Event Catchers, we were there. Capturing your moments for a lifetime to share... Aleshia Lamelle

Share with me, Reflections of 2008... Moments captured in time, that were simply great! Enjoy Life & :)!

North Carolina to California!

I recently met with my new wedding clients. Their wedding is scheduled for later this year. I have been corresponding with the bride for some weeks now, but this was our initial meeting. It was great matching a face with the voice I've been speaking to for so long! She lives in NC and will be relocating to Cali after her wedding.

She is going to be such a beautiful bride and her fiance is so hilarious! I can not wait to photograph them again. They appear to be such a fun loving couple. The bride and I seem to admire a lot of the same things. She loves the Nature's Studio and actually decided to contact me after she viewed the PhotoBOOK of Navy Blu; both galleries on www.eventcatchers.com. And when we pulled out our appointment books to schedule our next meeting- they were the SAME designed day planners from the local superstore in town! We laughed at our similar style in taste.

It was so refreshing to see such love again - that uncompromised commitment to one another that grows into "unconditional love". We do not see this much anymore. Our couple are actually college sweethearts and when you look at them, you are looking at "it". They have "it". You can just look at them and see "it".

The friendship between them was one of the first things I noticed. It was that "best friend" companionship we all strive for in our relationships. They were just gitty with one another and it was great to see! When she looked at him, he would smile and when he looked at her, she would blush....now how many of us remember that feeling!

Stay tuned for more pics; her bridal session is next month!
Enjoy Life &:)!
